
Nokia’s Official Corporate Acquisitions Specialist Imaging Scalado
Nokia has just announced that they had just bought all the intellectual property and technology from a company called Scalado AB. Scalado itself is a specialized company working in the field of imaging.
In such transactions, Nokia gained no less than 50 world-class imaging specialists. And, the technology is expected will be embedded in a Nokia mobile phone camera. Of course, this technology will provide improved image quality of cameras in mobile phones serve targeted.
“We believe that this acquisition will strengthen the position of Nokia in the mobile imaging and provides greater opportunities to create products and better imaging applications,” said VP, Executive Smard Nokia Devices, Jo Harlow.
He also said that the employees of Nokia will be very pleased to work together with employees of Scalado. And, they also plan to embed the technology in cell phones Lumia series.
Sami Niemi which is Co-founder Scalado which now serves as the Head of Capture and Relive Nokia Smart Devices said the company is very pleased with the acquisition. “The technology and competence we have developed should be able to help than to take a photograph to capture the memory and emotion,” Niemi said as quoted from Softpedia.
Unfortunately, the Nokia did not mention how much they spend to acquire a company based in Lund, Sweden.
